What Otherbox is
Type an artist, a song or a feeling, and Otherbox plays a station of new songs in that style. Every song is original and AI-generated. No real artist's voice, words or recordings are used; the name you type only sets the style.
My invite link doesn't work
Otherbox is invite-only for now. Open the link on the device you want to listen on. In the iPhone or Android app, you can also paste the whole link. If it still says the invite doesn't work, it may have been turned off or your account deleted: email us for a new one. To join the waitlist, go to otherbox.app.
The first song takes a moment
A new station plays a close match right away when one exists; its first brand-new song is usually ready in about 40 seconds. After that, Otherbox keeps the next songs ready ahead of time.
"That's all the new songs for today"
Each listener gets a set number of new songs a day, because each one costs us to make. Songs already made keep playing, and new ones come back the next day (UTC).
"We couldn't create the next song"
The music service failed twice in a row, so the station paused making songs. Tap Try again. If it keeps happening, email us; we get a crash report for errors like this.
Playback stops when I lose signal
Songs stream from our server, so the next song needs a connection. Otherbox picks up again by itself when you're back online.
Thumbs up and down
Thumbs up steers the station toward that song's sound. Thumbs down skips the song and steers away from it.
Download or delete your data
In the app, open Settings, then Your data. Download my data gives you a file with your stations, thumbs and plays. Delete my account deletes them on every device that uses your invite, and the invite stops working. You can also email us to do either.
